Two Moldavian cooperatives will jointly supply strawberries to Romania

By prior arrangement with a trader from Romania, the total volume of deliveries will be at least 500 tons.

Entrepreneurial cooperative CI VED-MAR Agro concluded an agreement with the cooperative of strawberry producers from the Calarasi region on the joint export of berries to Romania. According to the preliminary agreement with the trader from Romania, the total volume of deliveries will be at least 500 tons, the export period is all of June of the current year.

CI VED-MAR Agro combines 5 agricultural enterprises with more than 40 hectares of table grapes and a packaging system: a five-chamber refrigerator with a controlled gas atmosphere of 800 tons, two pre-cooling chambers of different capacities, grape sorting lines and automatic gluing of cardboard boxes of different designs / capacities . The packaging system is certified according to ISO 22000. CI VED-MAR Agro sells grapes under the brand name Frudova. In that year, the cooperative exported about 400 tons of grapes to Romania.

According to Maria Vedrashko, Director of CI VED-MAR Agro, this year the cooperative decided to expand the range of exported products at the expense of strawberries to more efficiently use the capacity of the production infrastructure and commercial opportunities of the Romanian partner. In agreement with the cooperative for the production of berries CI VED-MAR Agro will provide a new Moldavian partner services in gluing boxes, pre-cooling, storage and sale of products through a representative in a neighboring country.
